This painting is part of my "ENDANGERED SERIES". Iris, lives at Busch Gardens Tampa and is mate to Simon. She marches to her own tune... I took this photo when the keepers where tossing the lions meatballs. One of them called Iris... nothing. She called again, IRIS... nothing. She was getting upset and again IRIS... After a while, Iris came sauntering around a corner. Not a housepet... I had to paint her after that. Lions are ENDANGERED.
